Roger Lee Snow, Sr., age 59, passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

Born on June 3, 1955 he was a son of the late Melvin Earl Snow and Helen Louise Snow. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Hannah Nicole Staton in 1994.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Vicki Snow; his daughter, Blanche Staton and her companion Gary Gibson; his son, Roger Lee Snow, Jr. “Boo Boo”; two grandsons, Tyler Staton and Jesse Snow; his sidekick “Bear Snow”; his siblings, Gloria Singleton and her husband Roger of Heaters, WV, Nancy Shull and her husband Charles of Keswick, VA, Hank Snow and his wife Cynthia of Troy, VA, and Bobby Snow and his wife Charlotte of Troy, VA; a niece, who was like a sister to him, Teresa Snow; a sister-in-law, Cecilia Courtney and her husband Wayne; and brother-in-law, James Hope and his wife Carolyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Roger retired from the City of Charlottesville after 30 years of service as a mechanic. He loved his home that he and his wife built together. Roger and Vicki set the example of love. Together they made each other’s life better.

Roger loved his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Roger was an antique car enthusiast. He enjoyed working on and restoring old cars.

He had a big heart and would do anything to help anyone – it was as if Roger’s heart was made from gold blessed by the hands of God. If he were here today he would say, “love one another.” Roger will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be conducted 3:00p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Teague Chapel officiated by Mr. Nick Sylva . Interment will follow at the Snow residence, 408 Buck Branch Drive, Troy, VA 22974.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
