Nicholle "Niki" Catherine Gibson
Beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend to Many

Born April 28, 1978 to Percy Gibson and Debbie Wade. Niki was born with sub-aortic cardiomyopathy which there is no cure. Her Dad and Mom were told when she was two years old if they wanted her to be liked, to discipline her just like her siblings.

It's easy to let your child get by with things when they have health issues, but they wanted her to be loved and for people to want to be around her.
Niki has always been the child, young teen, grown woman that said, "I am going to live my life doing what makes me happy, not by what I'm told the heart disease would not let me do". Hence, she had her two wonderful, handsome boys against all odds. She lived "Niki's life" her way and she was really good at it. She developed a personality that was bigger than life! She never met a person she wouldn't give a chance. You knew soon if you disappointed her! With her contagious laugh that could be heard a great distance away; you always knew when she had arrived. Her smile would light up the room even though she thought she had a couple crooked teeth! Niki loved life and everything and everyone in it.
Second to happiness of having her boys, was her New Year's Eve engagement to Jeremy Rinaca. She was very happy and excited about getting married to Jeremy. They had a very special relationship in so many ways. It was well known to everyone that Niki was happy, and we have Jeremy to thank for making her last few week's so very happy by proposing to her!
Niki loved working with her class at Mighty Minds, Little Hands as the Lead Teacher. She loved photography, karaoke with her friends, ladybugs, and her boys! Her Dad was her rock!
Life dealt Niki a lot of health issues and life issues, but she always had a smile on her face, a song in her heart, and a love for life that she would not give up on! By living "Niki's life" she made a mark on this world and many people will be better because of her and the choice she made to live "Niki's life". Our heart is broken because she will not be here with us, but we know Niki will not only be in our hearts forever, but in the hearts of many people who knew and loved her.
Niki is survived by her parents, Percy Gibson and Debbie and Charlie Wade; her sons Gabe and Nate Morris; Fiance' Jeremy Rinaca; Sisters Kim Durrett, Shelley Gibson and Fiance' Alan Hawkins, Kelley Wade-Noel and husband David; Brothers Troy Wade and wife Marianna; Andy Wade and wife Lauren. Her nieces and nephews Darrell Kerns; Iesha and Kristen Durrett; Taylor Walker; Porter, Tanner, Drew and Ella-Grace Wade; Kendall and Kate Noel. Ken Morris and Barbara Campbell, her "3rd" sister, and all of her special friends that were family to Niki, her Karaoke buddies, her babies at Mighty Minds, Little Hands, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

The family invites friends and others to join them in remembering Niki Friday night, January 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Teague Funeral Home. Those wishing to hold Niki's hand may do so from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

A celebration and funeral service will be conducted 2:30 pm Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the funeral home. Following the service Niki will be laid to rest at Holly Memorial Gardens.

It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone, for a part of us
went with you the day God called you home.
